Hit and Run traffic accident!! Comments, Suggestions ?
Today, I was driving my car on the interstate(being a careful driver), I got clipped off by a driver in another car(Blue luxury sedan, that is all I can remember). I saw it coming and avoided it by defensive maneuver. But that made me spin out of control(from one shoulder to another shoulder crossing 2 lanes of traffic) for few seconds and the whole event was in slow motion. The car vanished. I froze for atleast 10 minutes or so, and I regained my speech. (Thank God, I am okay)
After getting to my city, I came across three additional instances where I was almost run over. I was a driving a vehicle in my city. Is this coincidence or strange? I got a call from my friends that a long time friend(who I haven’t heard from) got into a motorcycle accident. He has multiple fractures on his left leg.
What do you think of this? Any suggestions? words of wisdom? About rules, filing complaints, etc(Oh nothing happened to me at all)

Sorry this happened to you. The last few years the roads have turned into something out of a Mad Max movie. I’ve seen a lot more hit and run accidents in the last few years, pedestrians hit and left for dead, it seems like a lot of these people will have an accident and it their vehicle will still run leave or if it won’t they flee on foot. I went to one last night where someone had crashed into the dining room of a resturant and then fled the scene on foot. No one was hurt because the place was closed.
The reasons for this are varied, criminals in stolen cars or with active warrents, illegal immigrants with no licenses, road rage due to a poorly planned and or inadequate road systems, the list goes on and on.
There are things you can do. Check your insurance policy and make sure you have adequate uninsured motorist coverage. Be extra alert when driving particularly at night. Don’t assume anything. Always keep looking well ahead of you. Most people focus on the area their headlights are lighting. I’ve been to three fatal wrong way on the interstate accidents this year that might have been less serious if the right way driver had been looking far enough ahead.
Report suspected drunk drivers if you see them. Impaired drivers are a leading cause of accidents.
If you have an accident, start documenting everything immediately if you have a camera phone use it to take pics of the scene and tag number and drivers in case someone decides to take off before the police get there,.
